Sentinel Federal Credit Union: Your Financial Guardian
Sentinel Federal Credit Union got their start as Ellsworth Air Force Base Federal Credit Union in 1955, changing to their new name in 1994. Why did the name change? They wanted to reflect their role acting as the financial guardian angel for their members, keeping watch over their finances–like a sentinel.
As the 8th largest credit union in South Dakota, they provide banking services to more than 10,000 people throughout the state. Their services have expanded from supporting only Air Force members to now include anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school, or is a business or other legal entity in Pennington, Lawrence, Meade, Custer, Lyman, Todd, Tripp, Gregory and Mellette counties in South Dakota. Once you’re a member, your family are also eligible, and you take your membership with you no matter where life may take you.
Black Hills Wire is proud to have Sentinel Federal Credit Union as a corporate sponsor supporting military spouses, veterans, and innovative initiatives. Their service to our military and community members since 1955 has been invaluable–from their first checking account to retirement, and everything in between.
