The Black Hills Wire aids military connection in western South Dakota to civilian businesses and events

RAPID CITY, S.D. — On Thursday, May 21, the South Dakota Ellsworth Development Authority launched the Black Hills Wire – a comprehensive website for the local military community to connect with businesses and events throughout the Black Hills of western South Dakota.

As a resource to both Air Force and National Guard servicemen and women, along with their families, the Wire is filled with information and resources to get plugged into area organizations, use available discounts, and meet other people in the area.

“The Black Hills Wire plays a critical role in supporting those who sacrifice so much for us,” said Scott Landguth, SDEDA Executive Director. “We want our military members and their families to enjoy their time here in South Dakota, and this is our way of contributing to their community relationships.”

The website will be updated regularly with new events and information as community support for military members at Ellsworth Air Force Base and Camp Rapid grows. For more information, please contact SDEDA at (605) 484-7754 or contact us here.
