Welcoming Another School Year

Just like that, school is back in session! To help you and your family get ready, we’ve rounded up important dates and information for the school districts nearest to Ellsworth Air Force Base.

Schools in the area are planning to resume in-person learning for all ages. Each district has their own policy on health and COVID-19 related issues — please reach out to your specific district if you have questions or concerns! Parents are encouraged to follow their district and school-specific social media and calendars for the most up-to-date information.

First day of school: August 25, 2021

Welcome back events: Family walk-through event Monday, August 23, 2021, from 3:30-6:00 p.m. to meet school principals and teachers.

Welcome back events: Open houses for K-5 are on August 23, 2021 from 4-6 p.m.

Open houses for 6-8 are on August 23, 2021 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Open houses for high schools were on August 19.

School supplies lists: elementary schools  middle school 

High school students will get a small supply list during their first week; however, the district recommends coming to school on the first day with pens, pencils, and a couple of notebooks.
