Ellsworth Task Force; Defending and Promoting the Future of Ellsworth
Formed in 2005, the Ellsworth Task Force’s mission is to maintain a state of community readiness regarding the retention of Ellsworth Air Force Base, while seeking new missions to ensure the base is maintained and improved. Their efforts directly influenced the decision to remove Ellsworth from the Base Realignment and Closure list in 2005, and they have continued to lobby and promote the base at the local, state, and national levels. Their goal is to maintain a community-based grassroots advocacy that develops strategies to enhance Ellsworth Air Force Base’s opportunities for sustainment and expansion, solidifying its place as a critical national defense asset.
Black Hills Wire is proud to have the Ellsworth Task Force as a corporate sponsor supporting military spouses, veterans, and innovative initiatives. Their past and continuing work to ensure the future of Ellsworth Air Force Base is deeply appreciated by the Black Hills community.
